About Startup Building Program

From Research to Startups: Supporting Commercialization for Researchers and Entrepreneurs-in-Residence

In our Startup Building Support, experienced entrepreneurs and business managers offer free, practical assistance to commercialize promising technologies from the preparation stage. We also carefully select and appoint prospective CEOs who aim to launch startups leveraging innovations from academia as UTokyo IPC’s Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIRs). These EIRs receive comprehensive, pro bono support—including introductions to researchers—to help them establish startups with the goal of bringing academic technologies to market.
