UTokyo IPC Selected as a Partner Organization for the “Deep Tech Course” under the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Startup Support Expansion Program ‘TOKYO SUTEAM’ (FY2025)

(Head office: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Kosuke Ueda; hereinafter “UTokyo IPC”) is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government as a partner organization for the newly established “Deep Tech Course” of the Startup Support Expansion Program with Diverse Stakeholders (“TOKYO SUTEAM”) for FY2025.
About “Global DeepFusion Tokyo”
Upon this occasion, UTokyo IPC will launch and implement “Global DeepFusion Tokyo”, a comprehensive program designed to help deep tech startups originating from Tokyo succeed on the global stage.
This initiative addresses the challenge of innovative technologies failing to reach the market and remaining untapped. By providing end-to-end support from the research stage through commercialization to global business expansion, the program aims to create significant impact by enabling Japanese deep tech startups to contribute to solving global challenges.
Key initiatives include:
・Strengthening global communication and pitching skills through academic programs co-designed with UC Berkeley SkyDeck and other partners
・Collaboration with leading global accelerators
・Building partnerships with top overseas institutions to support international expansion
About “TOKYO SUTEAM”
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government launched the Startup Support Expansion Program with Diverse Stakeholders (“TOKYO SUTEAM”) in FY2023 to realize its “10×10×10 Innovation Vision for the Future.”
The program encourages initiatives that leverage the ideas, networks, and resources of various players involved in startup support, aiming to foster the creation and growth of startups. In FY2025, a new course dedicated to the creation and development of deep tech startups has been introduced.
